Debra Bilow creates images that have minimal but critical elements within each frame. Though they are simple and quiet, further looking reveals a “complexity derived through form, repetitive elements, negative space, and line.” She studied photography at the International Center of Photography, The School of Visual Arts, and Pratt Institute. She has also been tutored extensively by renowned photographer Christopher Giglio. Her work has been in shows at the Hudson Opera House, the Barrett Art Center, and Columbia County Council on the Arts, among others. She divides her time between the Hudson Valley and Brooklyn.
